Dr. Daniel Falk is a Health Scientist Administrator within the Division of Medications Development at the National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism (NIAAA). At NIAAA, he manages grants on pharmacotherapy for alcohol use disorder (AUD), statistical and methodological innovations for treatment studies, and outcomes research. In addition to his program management and administrative duties, Dr. Falk serves as a Principal Investigator and Director of Biostatistics on several pharmacotherapy trials to treat AUD conducted under the NIAAA Clinical Investigations Group (NCIG). Dr. Falk has authored a number of publications and presentations on a diverse set of alcohol-related topics, including: statistical methods and outcomes for alcohol clinical trials, pharmacotherapy and behavioral interventions to treat AUD, psychiatric comorbidity, and correlates of alcohol use. Prior to joining NIAAA, he conducted epidemiologic research on AUD as a contractor for NIAAA. Dr. Falk received his Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the University of Miami.
