Fatemeh Shekoohishooli joined NIAAA in 2022. She completed her Ph.D. in Neuroscience and neuroimaging at the D'Annunzio University of Chieti – Pescara, Italy. Fatemeh’s Ph.D. work investigated how gliomas can impact resting-state oscillatory activity and connectivity. During her PhD, she also combined MEG-DTI data to find functionally abnormal lesions in the pathological conditions. Her current interest is the evaluation of sex hormone effects on alcohol consumption using the integration of multiple imaging approaches.
