Corinde Wiers, Ph.D.

Biographical Summary

Corinde was a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at LNI from 2014-2020 and is currently Assistant Professor for Psychiatry and Radiology at the University of Pennsylvania. She studied psychology and psychobiology at the University of Amsterdam (Netherlands) and Sussex University (UK), and earned her PhD in psychology from the Berlin School of Mind and Brain and Free University Berlin (Germany). Her research investigates cognitive and neurobiological processes involved in addiction, using fMRI, PET and psychophysics. She currently investigates the effects of metabolic ketosis on alcohol withdrawal, craving and brain energetics in Alcohol Use Disorder, for which she received a K99/R00 and NARSAD Young investigator grant.
