Courtney Waters, B.A.

Biographical Summary

Courtney Waters joined the Clinical NeuroImaging Research Core in June of 2022. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Neuroscience and Psychology from Miami University of Ohio in 2021. As an undergraduate researcher, she investigated the effects of acute stress and disordered eating on decision-making in young adults. She then volunteered as a research assistant in a lab that studies the use of psilocybin and other tryptamines as novel clinical treatments in rodent models of depression and Alcohol Use Disorder (AUD). After completing her traineeship at the NIH, Courtney hopes to pursue neuroeconomics and decision-making research through a doctorate program in Behavioral Neuroscience.
