Jessica Laudie, B.A.

Biographical Summary

Jessica Laudie is a postbaccalaureate IRTA in the OCD. She graduated with distinction from the University of Virginia with a B.A. in Neuroscience and minors in Data Science and Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies. During undergrad, Jessica was a research assistant in a lab that studied the retrograde signal propagation of cell death in the sympathetic nervous system. After taking a class on neuropsychopharmacology, she became fascinated with the role of drugs in modifying states of reality, perception, and consciousness. At the NIAAA, Jessica is interested in exploring the neuroscience of alcohol use disorder and potential psychopharmacological treatments. After her IRTA fellowship, she plans to attend graduate school.
