Teddy Koide, B.S.

Biographical Summary

Teddy Koide graduated from Bates College in May 2023 with a B.S. in Biology, Chemistry, and Public Health. During his time at Bates, he completed an original research project on the genomic makeup of the cellular processes involved in the Alcoholism KEGG pathway (acute and chronic ethanol exposure), using the biological organism ephydatia muelleri as a template species. Teddy joins the HP lab in July 2023 and is interested in the biological effects in addition to the genomics of alcoholism and alcohol use disorders in its relation to vulnerable populations. After his time at the NIAAA, Teddy plans to pursue medical and graduate school to explore his research interests further. In his free time, Teddy enjoys playing sports, staying active, listening to music, and watching movies.
