The National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA) and the National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism (NIAAA) will host the annual 2023 NIDA-NIAAA Frontiers in Addiction Research Mini-Convention as as a 2-day virtual meeting on November 7-8, 2023.

The annual NIDA-NIAAA Mini-Convention provides a forum for presentations and discussions of current topics in neuroscience and addiction research. Topics of significant or emerging scientific interest were presented as mini-symposia that describe current knowledge and the use of state-of-the-art approaches in pursuing research in select topic areas, and that enable additional discussion of the implications of the research. The Mini-Convention also showcases research by premier early stage and junior investigators working in the fields of alcohol and substance abuse and addiction research through the Early Career Investigator Showcase (ECIS) symposium.
